  I am certified like a teacher (European diploma)an ECE Assistant (Early Child Education), CPR, First Aid (Canadian diplomas ).
As part of my working experience I have prepared  materials for the psychological well being and behavioral training of children. Along the way, I have gained experience with special education children, special needs, elementary school ,high school and child care center care. For many years now, I have wanted to run my own home daycare. With my  years of experience in childcare centers, I feel that young children can get much better care with the one on one small group care that a family inhome childcare can provide.

Having been a working mother myself, I understand how difficult it is for parents to find good quality childcare. I know I have the love, knowledge, experience and qualities to provide a warm, loving environment in which children can learn and grow. I believe that our children are the most important part of our future, and I will work with you to help establish the solid foundation children need to feel secure and to provide a stability for that future. There is nothing more precious than your child! When a family selects a Daycare provider, they are putting their trust in a service that allows them to go to work with peace of mind. They are trusting a caregiver that determines in a large part the development and well-being of their children. As your child's Day Care Provider I agree to give your child(ren) careful attention, affectionate care and stimulating things to do. I want children to experience healthy growth and development in a happy, safe, and caring home environment.
I take my profession as a childcare provider (not a babysitter), very seriously.
I operate a clean and safe home away from home for your child, and I assure you they will feel at "home" while they are here. My family childcare is very much a "home atmosphere". All children will learn their ABC's, 123's, colors, shapes, please and thank you are on a daily basis while in my care.
I have created this page to facilitate greater understanding between us. It covers my child care philosophies, business policies and expectations,curriculum,newsletters etc. In order to make our relationship as enjoyable as possible, the following pages contain mutually beneficial requirements which are necessary to ensure that there are no misunderstandings between either parties.

FAMILY CHILDCARE  -IT IS ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE

        Just what is family childcare? In short, it is childcare that is offered in the provider's home. Home daycare providers are NOT babysitters!
Actually, quality family childcare is so much more then that! Quality childcare providers choose home daycare as their careers because they enjoy being around children and they enjoy helping children to get that good start in life that they deserve.

One of the major benefits family childcare offers that center-based care simply cannot is a small group. Any parent of a young child knows that the fewer people their child is exposed to, the less likely they are to become ill. Center-based care may offer separate rooms for different age groups, but the fact of the matter is, that when large numbers of people, children as well as their parents walk through the center's doors, as many as 100 people a day could be bringing their cold or flu germs into that environment! Factor in all of the center's employees and the potential for exposure to illness seems staggering .Due to the low ratio of children in each program to begin with, and the even lower number of infants allowed, parents can really appreciate the individualized attention that is offered in these homes, and know that what is being offered really is serving their child's best interests.

CHILDCARE PROVIDER, BABYSITTER & NANNY

Childcare provider:

A professional childcare server who contracts with a client

to hold one slot out of a limited number of available slots exclusively for your child,

with a pre- determined set of hours, for a pre-determined fee per year.

Installments of this fee are usually paid on a weekly/bi-weekly/or on a monthly basis.

This usually includes a provider who is certified in first aid and CPR and ECE.

Takes classes, workshop, and attends seminars and conference to stay current on the latest techniques in dealing with age appropriate development of the children in their care.

In most states these Providers have usually undergone criminal back ground checks of themselves and all members over 18 residing in their home.

They are required to have regular medical check ups for all personel in the daycare home.

The providers home undergoes inspections by their licensing agency and regular inspections from the state fire marshall.

Baby-sitter:

A person who usually watches a child in the parents home on an irregular basis,

is not guaranteed to be there for the parent on a regular basis,

is rarely trained in basic life support or first aid, and usually does not provide age appropriate activities for the children in their care,

and is not limited in the amount of children they may have in their care at any one time.

~~~~~~~~~~
Nanny:
A person hired by one family to provide care for their children on a regular basis in the child's home.
As this person is an employee of the parents, it is usually up to the parents to require and pay for a criminal
back ground check if they so desire.
They do not have any kind of inspections by state agencies as they are the employee of the parents working in
a private home.
ODE TO DAYCARE
Little children come to me
For hugs and books and such,
I care for all their simple needs
And also fix them lunch
I pick up toys, mop up spills,
And dry their little tears,
I change diapers,settle fights,
And kiss away their fears.
I tie shoes, button coats,
And push them on the swing,
I really love these kids you see,
But there is one thing.
Call me Mom, or Aunt, or Teacher,
But please don't call me sitter,
Cause I never get to sit!.
The Childcare Provider
Although I'm not their mother,
I care for them each day.
I cuddle, sing, and read to them,
And watch them as they play.
I see each new accomplishment,
and help them grow and learn,
I understand their language,
and I listen with concern.
They come to me for comfort,
And I kiss away their tears.
They proudly show their work to me,
I give the loudest cheers!
No, I am not their mother,
But my role is just as strong.
I nurture them and keep them safe,
Though maybe not for long.
I know someday the time may come,
When we will have to part,
But I know each child I've cared for
Is forever in my heart!
